Zeibekiko 2026 Workshops with Sophia Ventouris

Learn the ART & experience the SOUL of ZEIBEKIKOS DANCE with Zeibekiko specialist dance teacher & Zeibekiko festival director Sophia Ventouris with lead male dancer Dimitri Lahanas.

When we dance Zeibekikos, we can express our feelings and mirror our soul.

The workshop focus is on how to gain more confidence to express oneself in Zeibekiko dance through self-improvisation, which is the KEY to Zeibekikos dance.

In the women's workshop we will work on moves, turns, posture, steps for females, how to hold your arms and unofficial rules for women dancing Zeibekiko etc.,

In the men's workshop we will work on classic Zeibekiko male moves, hits "htipimata", turns, steps for males, how to hold up arms and work them, along with a foundation basic step guide to build more steps on.
